The Tech Fascist Axis
Tech fascism is expanding globally. It is enabled by a growing network of nation-state alliances, forming a new axis of tech fascism.
Israel, Argentina, El Salvador, Saudi Arabia, and the Network State form global political partnerships pushing tech fascism forward.
These partnerships serve important functions, providing capital and investment, the expansion of the crypto economic system, weapons development and arms deals, support for human rights abuses, land for Network State projects, unregulated development zones and tech mega-projects. They also enable predation of the global south, through colonies, erosion of sovereignty, exploitation of natural resources, surveillance and policing, government interference and election manipulation.
In these alliances we see shared ideologies: authoritarianism, anti-leftism and anti-communism, Zionism, anti-immigration, elevation of militancy and warfare, libertarian economics, IQ supremacy, technocracy, race science and eugenics.
Alliances between rich nations -- like the Network State, Israel and Saudi Arabia -- differ from alliances with poor nations like Argentina and El Salvador. In the latter cases, countries in the global south are targets, and their contact with tech fascism and venture capital results in the transformation of their countries. Right-wing politicians are installed, tech mega-projects emerge, natural resources are harnessed for data center and AI projects, cryptocurrency is implemented, large influxes of the tech and crypto class occur, and taxes and regulation on foreign technological development and investment are eliminated, allowing venture capitalists to build strongholds in the region. In the case of El Salvador, there is wide-scale imprisonment and human rights abuses, including torture and state murder, coinciding with its transformation to a crypto state.
There is significant risk that this model will spread throughout countries in the global south, and that more rich nations will join the axis. While the case of Latin America is most advanced, Africa is the next target, and tech fascism already plays a central role in the genocide of Palestinians. The UK is also a player in the rise of tech fascism, as documented on this site.
Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia has a long-term relationship with Silicon Valley tech fascists, who have benefitted from significant funding from the Saudis. Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund [PIF] has invested in Uber. Its venture capital arm, Sanabil, is an investor in Founders Fund (Peter Thiel's VC firm), Andreessen Horowitz and Craft Ventures (David Sacks' VC firm). It has also invested in Iconiq, TechStars, Tiger Global, General Atlantic, 500 (founded by PayPal Mafia members), Blackstone, Insight Venture Partners, 1984 VC, Innovation Endeavors, Blockchain Capital and others.
These firms sit at the center of tech fascism and the development of the Network State, and have attained massive power through compromising of the US executive. Saudi Arabia has thus been a key backer of the rise of tech fascism, crypto, its AI projects, and its weapons projects.
A central focus of Saudi Arabia's PIF is "giga-projects", backing the futuristic new city NEOM, the "destination city" Qiddiya, and Red Sea Global, "developer of two of the world’s most ambitious regenerative tourism projects". Several prominent Silicon Valley tech fascists have served on the board of NEOM, which announced in 2018 that Sam Altman and Marc Andreessen would join "to provide industry insight, advise on key milestones and forge strategic connections for NEOM."
Saudi Arabia's giga-project concept shares key features with the Network State, with the focus on large-scale, tech and entrepreneurship cities. NEOM describes itself in similar language to Network State propaganda, stating "NEOM is the land of the future where the greatest minds and best talents are empowered to embody pioneering ideas and exceed boundaries in a world inspired by imagination." PIF states "NEOM is being built as a living laboratory, a place where entrepreneurship and innovation will chart the course for a new future." NEOM has similar focal areas as the Network State, including energy, financial services, and biotech, advertising "a cutting-edge biotech innovation ecosystem". Wealth funds and venture capital are at the center of the model -- PIF funds venture capital firms and is focused on the creation of new startup enterprises and new tech cities.
In 2024, the documentary Kingdom Uncovered: Inside Saudi Arabia,
"revealed the total amount of worker deaths related to Mohammed bin Salman’s Saudi Vision 2030, a multitrillion dollar program which includes NEOM and the Line. According to the exposé by ITV, more than 21,000 Indian, Bangladeshi, and Nepalese workers have died in Saudi Arabia since 2017 working on various aspects of Saudi Vision 2030. And according to The Hindustan Times, reports show that more than 100,000 people have 'disappeared' during NEOM’s construction. Workers also say that, under current working conditions, they are 'trapped slaves' and 'beggars.' There’s also been reports of wage theft, illegal working hours, and human rights abuses. More than 20,000 Indigenous people were also forcefully removed from the region to make way for NEOM."
Since the inauguration of Donald Trump's second term, there has been tremendous activity around Saudi Arabia and its partnerships with tech fascists in the United States. In May 2025, there was a delegation of the Trump administration and tech fascists to Saudi Arabia. It was attended bytech fascist luminaries including Elon Musk, Sam Altman of OpenAI, Travis Kalanick of Uber, Larry Fink of BlackRock, Palantir CEO Alex Karp, Ben Horowitz of Andreessen Horowitz, Jensen Huang of Nvidia, and other key figures in tech power.
The White House released a fact sheet on the large economic deals announced over the summit:
"President Donald J. Trump announced Saudi Arabia’s $600-billion commitment to invest in the United States, building economic ties that will endure for generations to come. The first deals under the announcement strengthen our energy security, defense industry, technology leadership, and access to global infrastructure and critical minerals....
Underscoring our commitment to strengthening our defense and security partnership, the United States and Saudi Arabia signed the largest defense sales agreement in history—nearly $142 billion, providing Saudi Arabia with state-of-the-art warfighting equipment and services from over a dozen U.S. defense firms. The sales that we intend to complete fall into five broad categories: (1) air force advancement and space capabilities, (2) air and missile defense, (3) maritime and coastal security, (4) border security and land forces modernization, and (5) information and communication systems upgrades."
The specific defense firms have not been released to the public; however, long-time Saudi backing of VC firms involved in dozens of weapons companies makes their participation likely.
The inclusion of BlackRock, a major crypto financial services operation, indicates movement towards crypto adoption by Saudi Arabia. This would dramatically change the global financial landscape as a force-multiplier in crypto adoption by power and elite across the world. BlackRock is planning to double or triple its investments in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East; Bloomberg reporting in late 2025: "The world’s largest asset manager has already invested more than $35 billion in the kingdom across equities, fixed income and infrastructure, and now has four investment teams in Riyadh focused on strategies across the Middle East, according to Kashif Riaz, who heads BlackRock’s Financial Markets Advisory business in the Middle East and its Riyadh-based investment management platform... 'The bulk of capital deployment has been in energy infrastructure but I think that’ll broaden to transportation, things around digital infrastructure, data centers, et cetera.'"
Saudia Arabia's crypto market is projected to reach $47.8 billion by 2034. Saudi Arabia is undergoing a project to support real estate tokenization, with Bloomberg stating "As Saudi Arabia advances its Vision 2030 digital agenda, tokenized real estate is emerging as a structure that represents property ownership rights through digital tokens recorded and transferred on blockchain platforms. The Real Estate Registry, supervised by the Real Estate General Authority, has launched a national infrastructure to support property tokenization and digital ownership transfer, including blockchain-based registration, fractionalization, and marketplace connectivity, with the aim of improving transparency, liquidity, and investor access." Additional reporting states "The platform establishes Saudi Arabia as the first jurisdiction to embed tokenization directly into its national property registry, an undertaking that positions the country at the vanguard of efforts to integrate real estate markets with digital-asset infrastructure." Saudi Arabia is also moving to launch stablecoins in partnership with its Central Bank.
Ripple, a large crypto company based in San Francisco, announced a partnership with Riyad Bank in early 2026, with an executive stating "The Kingdom’s visionary leadership has established Saudi Arabia as a forward-thinking global hub for digital transformation. Together with Jeel, we’ll explore use cases for cross-border payments, digital asset custody, and tokenization in support of the Vision 2030 agenda."
Israel
Israel has an extraordinarily close relationship with tech fascists. It is itself a tech fascist country, engaged in a genocide while its economy is a tech powerhouse, now positioned to grow even more. According to a report from Israeli tech tracker Startup Nation Central,
"In 2024, Israel solidified its position as a global scale-up powerhouse. Despite ongoing war and geopolitical tensions, the tech ecosystem achieved remarkable milestones—unexpected funding levels, high-value M&A deals, and stellar performance by public companies... The Israeli tech ecosystem, with a GDP share double that of the U.S. tech sector, led Israel’s economic growth with a 2.2% increase in high-tech GDP (Q1–Q3 2024), while the overall economy contracted by 1.5%... Israeli tech companies raised over $12 billion in 2024, marking a 27% year-over-year increase... 2024 marked Israel’s strongest year for acquisition-driven exits, with total event values approaching record highs"
In 2025, Israel's startup and venture capital market continued to grow, with Israeli high-tech companies raising $15.6 billion in funding; Reuters reporting "The tech sector, regarded as one of the largest in the world, accounts for about 20% of GDP, 15% of jobs and more than half of Israeli exports." Comments from Startup Nation Central expose the concentration in venture capital seen in the United States is also occurring in Israel: "investors are doing fewer deals, but committing significantly more capital to each one... Mega-rounds accounted for ~50% of total private funding, underscoring the growing concentration of capital... Investor participation narrowed, with 592 active investors, yet global investors continued to represent 60% of the total, signaling ongoing international confidence." M&A and public company funding grew markedly in 2025.
The Israeli Innovation Authority administers the Yozma Fund, which directs money into Israeli venture capital firms and startups. According to its website, Yozma is responsible for more than 24 technology incubators, more than 50 mergers and acquisitions, 39 IPOs globally and 29 in the United States. In January 2026, Yozma announced investments in 11 Israeli venture capital funds, targeting a $2 billion investment of public and private money.
Like Saudi Arabia, Israel is an investor in Silicon Valley venture capital firms. Israel's Vintage Investment Partners is an investor in Andreessen Horowitz, as well as General Catalyst, both of which have significant portfolios of weapons startups. Andreessen Horowitz is one of the top investors in Israeli startups. A number of venture capital-funded weapons are actively in use in the genocide of Palestinians. They include Palantir, Skydio, Shield AI, ShotSpotter, Toka and Ghost Robotics.
Tech fascists are open zionists and genocide mongers. Shortly after October 7th, Palantir took out a full-page ad in the New York Times stating "Palantir Stands with Israel." In October of 2023, over 800 venture capitalists signed the “Venture Capital Community Statement of Support for Israel."
“Israel has been an enduring partner to the global innovation ecosystem, fostering groundbreaking technological advancements and startup innovation. The nation's contribution to the world in terms of technology, research, and entrepreneurship is invaluable, and we hold deep respect for its unwavering commitment to progress…
In the spirit of peace and unity, we encourage the global venture community to support and engage with Israeli startups, entrepreneurs, and investors as they navigate through these challenging times."
Oracle, a Zionist company with long-standing ties to Israel, is profiteering more than ever on the relationship; at the 2025 Oracle World event, CEO Larry Ellison highlighted Israeli tech companies, Israeli customers and portfolio companies focused on cloud computing, artificial intelligence, cashless payments, telecom, and biotech. At the event, Oracle's head of sales stated "We understood that we might lose customers because of our support for Israel, but it didn’t matter to us. Supporting Israel is in our DNA, even if it costs us clients. That’s our agenda.”
The reporting Israeli news outlet states
"Oracle also extended exceptional support to its Israeli employees. During the first months of the war, all employees in Israel received double salaries, including those called up for extended reserve duty. The company donated $1 million to Magen David Adom and launched a global employee fundraising campaign for Israeli nonprofits, pledging to match every dollar raised. Oracle also sent supplies to IDF soldiers, relocated employees living near the Gaza border to central hotels and provided company credit cards for essentials. Employees fearful of remaining in Israel were offered relocation to any world destination they chose. When tensions escalated with Iran, Oracle ensured the safety of employees lacking reinforced shelters (mamad) by moving them to hotels or Airbnb apartments equipped with protected rooms."
Israel and Zionism are cited as key inspirations for the Network State, referring to the Network State as a "decentralized Zion" in the book, The Network State, and citing Israel's establishment as aspirational for the Network State.
Donald Trump, installed by venture capitalists and with an administration full of venture capitalists from the PayPal Mafia and Andreessen Horowitz, has made a number of statements about turning Gaza into a special economic zone. Per Time Magazine: "in February [2025], President Trump shared an AI video on his social media platform TruthSocial depicting 'Trump Gaza.' The video included AI-generated images of a golden statue of the U.S. President in Gaza, luxury cars, and skyscrapers in a reconstructed Gaza Strip."
In April 2025, during a meeting with Netanyahu at the White House, Trump stated "I think it's an incredible piece of important real estate... And I think it's something that we would be involved in, but you know having a peace force like the United States there, controlling and owning the Gaza Strip, would be a good thing." In May 2025, he stated "I think I’d be proud to have the United States have it, take it, make it a freedom zone... I have concepts for Gaza that I think are very good. Make it a freedom zone, let the United States get involved.”
In early 2026, Jared Kushner (son-in-law of Donald Trump) unveiled a "master plan" for Gaza at the World Economic Forum. NPR reporting:
"The Gaza Strip is only 25 miles long and about 4 to 7 miles wide. It was home to around 2.2 million people before the war, all living in densely packed cities and refugee camps. Now, nearly everyone lives in makeshift tents or bombed-out homes that are at risk of collapse. The World Bank estimated in 2024 the cost of damage to critical infrastructure alone was more than $18 billion...
Critics, including people NPR interviewed in Gaza, say it erases Gaza entirely and turns it into an investment opportunity atop the ruins of what a U.N. commission determined was a genocide committed by Israel. Israel denies the allegation, and is fighting war crimes charges internationally...
Kushner's plan envisions four district-like areas for Palestinians to live in, nestled between large green areas for parks and industrial zones that appear equal in size or larger than the areas designated for housing... That means the plan leaves far less room for Palestinian housing than existed before the war, suggesting a smaller population in Gaza...
The entirety of Gaza's Mediterranean coastline is designated under the plan as an area for 'coastal tourism' with 180 'mixed use' towers.
The visuals for the plan are stark, and look nothing like Gaza. Futuristic towers would form a new skyline along Gaza's coast, resembling a billionaire's playground much like Dubai."
Slides presented at the event show zones for "industrial complex, data centers, advanced manufacturing", with $3 billion+ dedicated to investments in commercial zones, business districts, and microgrants and loans. The slides also promote a "monopoly on force" accompanying the plan.
Trump has appointed members for the "board of peace" slated to conduct the "reconstruction", including Marco Rubio, Tony Blair, World Bank president Ajay Banga and Kushner himself, with Trump as chair.
Drop Site News comments that the plan proposes "redeveloping Gaza into a high-tech metropolis."
A more complete treatment of the ties between tech fascists and Israel can be found on this research site in the document Venture Capital and the Genocide.
Argentina
The president of Argentina, Javiar Milei, was elected in 2023. His presidency has been supported by the top brass of tech fascists, including Peter Thiel, Marc Andreessen, Mark Zuckerberg, Brian Armstrong of Coinbase, and Elon Musk. In 2024, he did an official tour of Silicon Valley, meeting many of these parties.
Since election, Milei has made massive cuts to the government and its services and organs, resulting in widespread poverty, unrest, and attacks on the schooling system, students and retirees. His gutting of the government has been a key inspiration for DOGE.
ClimateWire reported that in June 2024, "Elon Musk attended a free-market confab via Zoom to toast Argentina’s regulation-slashing president, Javier Milei. Musk used the opportunity to laud Milei's progress in 'deleting entire departments' of the Argentine bureaucracy — and to extol the virtues of deregulation. 'There has to be some garbage collection process for removing rules and regulations in order for society to function and not to get hardening of the arteries just to the point where you can't do anything,' Musk said."
Milei ran, and now bases his administration on, the political platform of tech fascism in key respects, presenting at Davos 2025, referring to Elon Musk as "my dear friend", and identifying new partners in a "new way of doing politics":
"we are an example of a new way of doing politics, which is about telling people the truth to their faces and trusting that they will understand. Nor do I feel alone because over the course of this year, I have found allies in this fight for the ideas of freedom in every corner of the world – from the amazing Elon Musk to that fierce Italian lady, my dear Giorgia Meloni; from Bukele in El Salvador to Viktor Orbán in Hungary; from Benjamin Netanyahu in Israel to Donald Trump in the United States – slowly an international alliance has been forming among all those nations which, like ours, want to be free and believe in the ideas of liberty."
He stated that Argentina had been "infected by socialism for far too long", and that "what once seemed like the absolute global hegemony of the woke left in politics and educational institutions, in the media, in supranational organizations, or even in forums like Davos, has begun to crumble." Further: "it is our moral duty and our historical responsibility to dismantle the ideological edifice of sickly wokeism, until we have succeeded in rebuilding our historical cathedral." He extols "our pioneering spirit", and "Western civilization" which "represents the pinnacle of human achievement on the fertile ground of its Greco-Roman heritage and Judeo-Christian values."
He railed against "feminism, diversity, inclusion, equity, immigration, abortion, environmentalism, gender ideology" and trans people. He repeated libertarian themes of limiting the power of the state, and called for a "drastic reduction in the size of the state... but also the drastic reduction of all supranational organizations."
These are common ideological themes across the tech fascist axis. Milei's speech at Davos echos Marc Andreessen's "Techno-Optimist Manifesto", which states:
"Our present society has been subjected to a mass demoralization campaign for six decades – against technology and against life – under varying names like 'existential risk', 'sustainability', 'ESG', 'Sustainable Development Goals', 'social responsibility', 'stakeholder capitalism', 'Precautionary Principle', 'trust and safety', 'tech ethics', 'risk management', 'de-growth', 'the limits of growth'."
Like other countries in the tech fascist axis, Argentina is accelerating large-scale tech development projects, including bringing in foreign investment to build nuclear power plants; a quote from Demian Reidel, Argentina's head of nuclear power policy, states: "My dream is to have a place in Patagonia called Nuclear City, where you come with your project and you can just plug it in. The only thing that can supply the energy deficit created by the gigantic data centres the world needs is nuclear." Milei has taken steps to privatize its nuclear power plants, with a spokesperson stating "The idea is to promote private investment to build Argentina's first modular reactor and boost uranium mining." Argentina continues to court foreign investment in its nuclear energy programs.
Argentina's expansion into AI is also accelerating. In late 2025, OpenAI published an article called "Argentina's AI opportunity", stating:
"Argentina has great potential to host the first Stargate project in Latin America. Powered by clean energy, this landmark infrastructure initiative would help position the country as a regional and global leader in artificial intelligence, driving economic growth and expanding opportunity across the country. The project is being led by Sur Energy, building on productive discussions last week in Buenos Aires between President Milei, cabinet officials of his government, and an OpenAI delegation led by Chief Global Affairs Officer Chris Lehane. OpenAI and Sur Energy signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to explore a large-scale data center project in Argentina."
The Stargate project is building data centers for OpenAI in the U.S. and increasingly around the world. It is funded by OpenAI, Oracle, Softbank and MGX, with participation from NVIDIA and Microsoft.
In 2024, Argentina saw $415 million in startup investment, "more than triple year-earlier levels." Reliable numbers on 2025 investment are not yet available. Argentina, like El Salvador, has created a program to incentivize foreign investment, implementing the "Incentive Regime for Large Investments (RIGI)". It includes reduction or elimination in federal income tax, federal dividends tax, export taxes, trade restrictions and capital controls; per the Atlantic Council, "the RIGI is designed to isolate investors from the most pervasive structural risks in the Argentine economy for the term of a major capital investment."
In January 2025, Coinbase, the crypto powerhouse funded by Andreessen Horowitz, announced it had gained regulatory approval and would launch in Argentina. In its Q1 2025 earnings call, CEO Brian Armstrong stated: “We continue to repeat our successful international playbook driven by obtaining new licenses. So we secured a vast registration in Argentina.” Binance, another dominant crypto exchange, has rolled out a program to allow citizens to use QR codes to facilitate crypto payments in Argentina.
In early 2026, Nubank revealed it was opening in Argentina. Nubank, founded by a former Sequoia venture capitalist, is a venture capital bank funded by Sequoia, Founders Fund (Peter Thiel's VC firm), Ribbit Capital (a crypto VC), and other large VCs and financial institutions. Also in 2026, crypto giant Tether announced its funding of Argentine fintech company belo, focused on stablecoins. Argentina's central bank is exploring measures allowing banks to operate with cryptocurrencies.
In March 2026, Milei held "Argentina Week" in New York to court foreign investment, with the event blurbing Argentina "offers opportunities across shale gas and oil, lithium, copper, other minerals, agri-food, pharmaceuticals, satellite technologies, AI, and advanced digital services, supported by a highly skilled workforce. The Incentive Regime for Large Investments (RIGI, for its acronym in Spanish) provides long-term tax stability, regulatory certainty, and legal protections for investors, strengthening Argentina’s position as a competitive destination for long-term investment."
Argentina Week included days at JP Morgan and Bank of America, panels on artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship and mining, "Argentine talent building global tech companies," "Unlocking Argentina's Mining Frontier" and a keynote from Argentina's "Minister of Deregulation" on "Downsizing the State and Deregulating the Economy". The event also included a conversation with Jacob Helberg, U.S. Under Secretary of State for Economic Affairs; Helberg is tied to the PayPal Mafia and served as an advisor to the CEO of Palantir, Alex Karp.
In April 2026, Peter Thiel began a two-month delegation to Argentina. In addition to private meetings with Milei, El País reports "Thiel had lunch with Santiago Caputo, Milei’s powerful star adviser, dined at the home of the Minister of Deregulation and State Transformation Federico Sturzenegger". The publication notes this marks "the fourth meeting [Milei] has held with Thiel in two years. They met in January 2024 at the Casa Rosada; again in May of that year in Los Angeles, during the Milken Institute forum; and once more in Buenos Aires."
From the same article:
"In Argentina, some researchers believe it is no coincidence that Thiel has returned at the moment of Milei’s lowest approval ratings since taking office in December 2023, amid a difficult economic situation and corruption scandals plaguing his inner circle. 'What Palantir provides is a surveillance and control tool that could be of use to the Argentine government,' says Valeria di Croce, author of El arca de Milei: ¿cómo y con quién construyó su poder? (Milei’s Power Base: How and With Whom Did He Build It?)
Thiel, for his part, is interested in the same things as the U.S. administration: cheap energy, raw materials, and vast tracts of land. 'Argentina is not being invited into technological development,' di Croce adds, 'it is being invited, as [Foreign Minister Pablo] Quirno signed in the United States, ‘to guarantee U.S. national security as a supplier of raw materials.’”
Argentina sits on the Lithium Triangle, a fertile resource for the batteries needed across tech devices and infrastructure. Venture capitalists are rapidly moving into the mining space, with companies including KoBold Metals and Mariana Minerals, both backed by Andreessen Horowitz.
Milei's administration is bringing more policing and surveillance, while drawing Argentina further in the international genocide axis represented by the United States and Israel. The Argentine Ministry of Security has introduced policies "to apply Artificial Intelligence in the prevention, detection, investigation, and prosecution of crime and its connections," through the creation of a Unit of Artificial Intelligence Applied to Security. In 2026, the Buenos Aires Herald reported that "President Javier Milei has carried out a widespread reform of Argentina’s intelligence system, granting spies more power and deepening the secrecy of their activities, via a decree published on Friday in the Official Gazette. Intelligence agents will be allowed to arrest people on the spot — something that till now was reserved for police officers and military police only — and all their activities will be considered 'covert.' In addition, the State Intelligence Secretariat (SIDE) will have the power to ask the armed forces to perform interior intelligence tasks."
In June 2025, Milei was granted Israel’s “Genesis Prize” for his support of Israel. The prize carries a $1 million reward, which will be used “to launch an initiative aimed at improving diplomatic relations between Israel and Latin American countries and fighting antisemitism in the region.” During his acceptance speech at the Knesset, Milei stated: “I said at the beginning of my term that I consider Israel and the US as our two main strategic partners… The fact that we share the same ideals makes us partners. Our government confirms Israel's right to defend itself. We did not hesitate to declare Hamas a terrorist organization and in 2026 we will move our embassy to Jerusalem.”
In July 2025, Argentina signed an agreement with the US military to obtain 8×8 M1126 Stryker infantry fighting vehicles. The United States Department of Defense issued a release on the occasion, relaying: “Hegseth said China poses a threat to the U.S., Argentina and the region, adding that, ‘Regional peace demands the utmost will and tenacity, and I think we can face these shared security challenges together, and I know we will.’ The defense secretary applauded Argentina's efforts to bolster its defense relationship with the United States, noting its decision to acquire U.S. F-16 Fighting Falcon, as well as Stryker fighting vehicles… [Argentine defense minister Luis Petri] said that the bonds between Argentina and the United States will become stronger. ‘Our relationship is at its best point, and our partnership will continue to grow in all areas of government, but fundamentally in defense,’ Petri said.”
As the Argentinian economy continues to struggle, the United States stepped in with an aid package, offering a $20 billion currency swap and reportedly raising another $20 billion "through a mix of financing from sovereign funds and the private sector." Trump has said this support will be predicated on the successful re-election of Milei. Trump is also quadrupling imports of beef from Argentina, with Reuters reporting: "Raising the tariff rate quota on Argentine beef to 80,000 metric tons will let the country ship more of its beef to the U.S. at a lower rate of duty. U.S. beef prices have set records due to tight cattle supplies and strong consumer demand."
The Human Rights Watch Argentina: Events of 2025 report states:
"Year-to-year price inflation slowed to 33.6 percent from 236.7 percent in 2024. However, price inflation for rights-essential goods and services remained higher, with housing, water, and energy prices increasing by 55.4 percent in 2025.
Nationally defined income poverty and extreme poverty rates declined in 2025, though at a slower pace than in 2024. According to official data, 31.6 percent of the population was experiencing poverty in June 2025, down from 54.8 in June 2024. As of June 2025, 6.9 percent of the population was living in extreme poverty—which the government defines as the inability to meet key elements of the right to food—and 45.4 percent of children under age 14 were living in poverty.
The government enacted severe cuts to public financial support for rights-essential public services and programs, including education, pensions, health care, and support for people with disabilities. However, it expanded the budget for certain social security programs, particularly the Universal Child Allowance (AUH), a non-contributory cash transfer program for low-income families with children or people with disabilities. Milei vetoed laws passed by Congress to increase pension payments, university funding, and social security for people with disabilities, but Congress overturned the vetoes."
The Human Rights Watch report expresses serious concerns about violence against protesters, attacks on journalism, cuts to programs addressing gender-based violence, erosion of disability rights, and an increase in hate crimes, as "The National Registry of Femicides reported 228 femicides—the murder of women and girls because of their gender—in 2024. The government deepened cuts to programs designed to address gender-based violence and provide urgent assistance to victims... between January and June 2025, the National Observatory of LGBT+ Hate Crimes, a federal coalition of human rights groups, documented that 17 people were killed and 85 were injured because of their sexuality, gender expression, or gender identity, a 70 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024."
Argentina has withdrawn from the World Health Organization along with the United States; in May 2025, the U.S. Health and Human Services issued a joint statement with Argentina's health minister, stating "The WHO’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic revealed serious structural and operational shortcomings that undermined global trust and highlighted the urgent need for independent, science-based leadership in global health... The absence of meaningful reforms, disproportionate financial demands, and the increasing politicization of the organization have ultimately led the United States and Argentina to withdraw from the WHO."
As efforts to secure a right-wing stranglehold on Latin America continue, Milei has allied with Nasry Asfura, the new Trump-installed president of Honduras, and backed the US embargo on Cuba at the UN, marking "a 180-degree turn in Argentina’s diplomatic stance, [] another sign of President Milei’s unconditional support for the U.S. amid the full-scale bailout his government received from the Donald Trump administration."
In November 2025, the Middle East Monitor reported: "Israel and the United States have come under fire after voting against a United Nations resolution reaffirming the absolute prohibition of torture. The vote, held during the 80th session of the General Assembly … saw 169 nations support the measure. Only three states opposed: the US, Israel, and Argentina."
In March 2026, Milei joined the Shield of the Americas launch event in Miami. Analysis published in Jacobin notes:
"Amid renewed US military aggression in the region, the gathering showcased an emboldened reactionary bloc eager to demonstrate its subservience to US dictates.
The summit drew twelve heads of state to the Trump National Doral Golf Club, with Argentina’s Javier Milei, Ecuador’s Daniel Noboa, El Salvador’s Nayib Bukele, and Chile’s president-elect, José Antonio Kast, joining the conservative presidents of Bolivia, Paraguay, Panama, Honduras, Costa Rica, Guyana, the Dominican Republic, and the prime minister of Trinidad and Tobago...
The nations gathered appeared united only in their submission to Trump; no joint agenda emerged beyond each nation’s commitment to US intervention... [Kristi] Noem's remarks pointed to US hopes to weaken its allies’ relations with China, now Latin America’s largest lender and trading partner. 'We’ll have [to] reverse these harmful foreign influences that have come into many of our businesses, our technologies, and we’ve seen infiltrate different areas of our way of life,' she concluded."
El Salvador
El Salvador became the first explicitly tech fascist country with the election of Nayib Bukele. He has implemented a policy of internal repression and violence, while opening up the country to exploitation by venture capital and turning the country into a crypto state. The massive human rights abuses of the regime -- locking up over 100,000 people without due process, are deeply related to the quest to transform the country into a tech capital. El Salvador's model is growing across Latin America, with a new, CECOT-inspired prison in Medellin, Columbia. Costa Rica has also constructed a CECOT-inspired maximum security prison; Bukele's administration has assisted in the project, with Bukele stating: "Everything we did in CECOT will be replicated in the Costa Rican version".
El Salvador has adopted and continuously accumulates large amounts of Bitcoin, and the country is often referred to by its officials as "Bitcoin Country". It has attracted large amounts of crypto tourism while suspending taxation and regulation for the foreign tech class. El Salvador has also become a frontier player in the Bitcoin mining industry, powered with geothermal energy by the country's volcanos.
In 2025, Tether, a major blockchain/stablecoin company with a market cap of $188 billion dollars, relocated to El Salvador. Tether referred to El Salvador as "a forward-looking jurisdiction that embraces innovation," stating "El Salvador is rapidly establishing itself as a global hub for digital assets and technology innovation. With its forward-thinking policies, favorable regulatory environment, and a growing Bitcoin-savvy community, the country has become an ideal destination for companies leading the digital finance revolution. By embracing blockchain technology and digital currencies, El Salvador is fostering an ecosystem that encourages innovation and attracts investment in the broader financial and technology sectors." Across 2025, El Salvador deepened its ties with tech elite and grew technological projects across the country. xAI partnered with El Salvador "to launch the world's first nationwide AI-powered education program. Over the next two years, we'll deploy Grok across more than 5,000 public schools". Elon Musk stated "By partnering with President Bukele to bring Grok to every student in El Salvador, we’re putting the most advanced AI directly in the hands of an entire generation. El Salvador isn’t waiting for the future of education — they’re building it with xAI.”
In 2026, Bukele implemented "constitutional reforms" to enable life sentences for children as young as 12.
CoreNest, a venture capital firm based in Dubai, has launched a Y-Combinator style accelerator in El Salvador premised on "transforming El Salvador into the next Silicon Valley". The firm focuses on AI, crypto, robotics and autonomous systems. Its site, encouraging startup founders to pitch the firm, states "Think like a killer? Build like an agent? Move like a machine? Pitch us." The collaboration shows escalating engagement between Middle East capital firms and El Salvador, as well as Latin America more broadly, aimed at developing tech fascist projects.
Bukele is taking steps to integrate AI into the healthcare system with Google, launching "An app [that] screens users for chronic illnesses and directs those at risk to private laboratory tests, specialist consultations and AI-assisted diagnoses. The system raises concerns about its cost and about data security." The app uses Google's Gemini AI. Google opened offices in El Salvador in 2024.
El Salvador is working on the construction of Bitcoin City, a mega-project reminiscent of NEOM and the Network State, with the goals of bringing in foreign investment, growing the tech and crypto industries, and courting the crypto class.
Its airport is already under construction; per reporting from the Guardian, "Bukele envisions a tax-free economic hub, with the airport a key part of making it accessible to international investors and crypto entrepreneurs." 225 households have been displaced: "[Elmer] Martínez, a local representative of the movement for the ancestral peoples of El Salvador, and his neighbours were first approached in 2022 by government officials. In the following years, they went through what they considered 'predatory negotiations' for the agricultural-based communities to sell their homes in exchange for 'inadequate compensation'."
This is reminiscent of the predatory operations of venture capitalists in Solano County, California, as well as NEOM and the displacement of indigenous people for the Network State site of Itana in Nigeria.
The CEO of the Network State colony Próspera, located in Honduras, went to El Salvador to meet with Bukele in November 2023. He stated "I congratulate President @nayibbukele for your vision for El Salvador, and wish you continued great success... I’m excited about the possibility of bringing the Próspera vision to El Salvador and being part of that success!" Próspera's communications team stated: "A truly enriching meeting between President @nayibbukele and our founder and CEO @erickbrimen where shared visions for the future were explored. At a crucial moment for ZEDEs [special economic zones], we're thrilled about the possibility of collaborating with El Salvador and continuing to expand horizons for Próspera."
Another delegation between Brimen and Bukele occurred in late 2025, with Brimen stating "It has been encouraging to see El Salvador demonstrate that with steadfast leadership transformation is possible in LATAM! Thanks to @nayibbukele for his example and hospitality. The future is exciting and promising!"
Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz of Andreessen Horowitz — primary Network State financiers — went on delegation to El Salvador in late February or early March 2025 "to discuss tech investment opportunities in the country. The meeting, facilitated by the National Bitcoin Office (ONBTC), highlighted El Salvador’s ambition to become a regional tech hub." An X post released by the National Bitcoin Office confirmed topics included "Investment opportunities in El Salvador as an emerging regional tech hub focused on freedom technologies" as well as "the AI landscape in a post DeepSeek environment" and "Open source vs proprietary models in AI." The Office also stated "El Salvador is establishing itself as the premier destination in the region for innovators, entrepreneurs and investors to come build extraordinary things."
El Salvador has increased its relations with Saudi Arabia; according to the report "Nayib Bukele and Saudi Arabia: A New Era of Relations" from the Gulf Research Center:
"One of the clearest signs of the growing relationship between El Salvador and Saudi Arabia is the inauguration of El Salvador's first embassy in Riyadh on May 2, 2024. This historic event marks a milestone in the diplomatic ties between the two nations..."
The countries signed an agreement "aimed at enhancing developmental cooperation. This agreement, signed in Riyadh, paves the way for a significant project involving biogas power generation and wastewater treatment in the Acelhuate River area, funded by a development loan from the Saudi fund..." Meanwhile, mutual exports between the countries have increased significantly in the past five years.
Israel has played a key role in the militarization of El Salvador and its rise as a police state. Via Mint Press News:
“Since Bukele’s ascension to the presidency in 2019, Israeli exports to El Salvador have been rapidly advancing, growing at an annual rate of more than 21%. This increase consists primarily of weapons. Salvadoran forces are well supplied with Israeli hardware. The military and police use the Israeli-made Galil and ARAD 5 rifles, the Uzi submachine gun, numerous Israeli pistols, and ride in AIL Storm and Plasan Yagu armored vehicles.
Some equipment Salvadoran forces use comes free, courtesy of Israeli sources. In 2019, an Israeli NGO, the Jerusalem Foundation (a group that builds illegal settlements on Palestinian land), announced that it would donate $3 million worth of supplies to the Salvadoran police and military.
For others, however, the Bukele administration is paying top dollar, meaning that this relationship is extremely profitable for the high-tech Israeli defense sector.”
Reporting from El Faro, an independent publication founded in El Salvador, outlines the administration's use of Israeli-developed technology for GPS and wifi network surveillance, and tracking and de-anonymization of social media users. El Faro's reporters were also targeted by Israel's Pegasus software, with the team under surveillance for at least the period of June 2020 thru November 2021; El Faro stating "this represents 17 months of continuous espionage with full access to the phones of more than half of the staff working for this newspaper, on specific dates that coincide with various El Faro investigations and significant events in national politics or government attacks against the newspaper." Due to political persecution, El Faro relocated to Costa Rica in 2023, and has continued to deliver vital reporting on El Salvador.
Bukele enjoys the ongoing support of President Trump, joining the Shield of the Americas along with Milei of Argentina and other members of Latin America's growing far-right. In May 2026, the U.S. State Department of Economic Affairs stated "El Salvador is a critical partner of the United States in the Western Hemisphere. President Bukele’s law-and-order miracle has not only brought freedom and safety for the Salvadoran people, it’s creating one of the best investment climates in the entire region. Our foreign policy interest is for U.S. businesses to participate in and help power El Salvador’s renaissance. Yesterday, Assistant Secretary Orr spoke to a group of over 75 American firms considering investments in El Salvador that will bring prosperity to both our countries."

Conclusion
The facts laid out in this document demonstrate increasingly close and serious bonds between nation-states that collaborate to forward the goals and achievements of tech fascism. They risk starting a "domino effect", endangering underdeveloped countries in the global south while promising to enrich the global elite.
Tech fascism is a threat to the peace and prosperity of the world, and the development of a new tech fascist bloc is cause for global investigation and alarm.
